MAGiS is a long-term project designed to foster Ignatian Spirituality in young adults aged 18 to 30. It accompanies and supports its members as they move into adulthood, helping them to achieve fulfilment in their lives through a faith that does justice. Ultimately, MAGiS aims to produce leaders—people with a sense of God’s place in their lives and the capacity to build a better world.
MAGiS participants meet fortnightly to reflect, pray, and share a meal, using Ignatian Spirituality as their template. They are also exposed to a range of social justice initiatives, particularly where they relate to Jesuit ministries. MAGiS focuses on strengthening bonds of friendship and understanding through its annual Summer Programme, which includes Experiments both locally and abroad.
The nourishment provided by MAGiS has sustained many members as they discover their identity in their work, at home, and in relationship with others.

'I'm bound to-and get an insight into how other people live out their own faith and hopefully learn something from them that will strengthen my own faith. I'm really interested in how everyone else lives out their lives according to what they believe. It's terrific to see yourself as part of such a big group. You realise you're not odd or alone.'
