Sacred Space Daily personal prayer for the office space
The creation of two Jesuits working together in the Jesuit
Communication Centre in Dublin - one from the Irish Province, the other
from the British Province - Sacred Space was launched at the beginning of Lent in 1999.
The
idea of the site was to bring a meaningful experience of prayer to busy
people in their offices, but at their desktops, via the internet. Sacred Space guides the visitor gently through a ten-minute prayer session, in six
stages, centred on a scripture passage for the day, and based on the
tradition of Ignatian spirituality.
Since then, the site has had
over twenty-million visits and is now available in twenty languages.
Current figures show that - on average - someone, somewhere in the
world, visits Sacred Space every six seconds.
We invite you to make a 'Sacred Space' in your day, and spend ten minutes, praying here and now, as you sit at your computer, with the help of on-screen guidance and scripture chosen specially every day.

Launched in March 2006, Pray-as-you-go is a daily prayer
session in MP3 format that you can download from the web and play on
