 The 35th General Congregation of the Society of Jesus was held from 7 January to 6 March 2008. The Congregation has released a number of decrees related to the mission, structure and identity of the Society of Jesus. Read more.

 Jesuits may be found working as lawyers and doctors, psychologists and
counselors, writers and journalists, theologians and philosophers,
researchers and scientists. In short, Jesuits do all kinds of work.
Their mission is everywhere and always the promotion of faith in Jesus
Christ and the justice demanded by that faith.

 MAGiS08 is the Ignatian program for World Youth Day 2008, supported by the Australian Jesuit Province. The program will bring together young people from around the world for Experiments, an Ignatian Gathering, WYD events and a Post-WYD Pilgrimage.

The Australian Jesuit Province invites you to join in praying for those who have died and for who have been wounded or left homeless, thirsty and hungry in the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis in Burma.
Friends and benefactors of the Australian Jesuits are encouraged to support the Caritas Australia appeal for donations for victims of Cyclone Nargis. Jesuit Mission and Jesuit Refugee Service are also happy to receive donations and any funds that cannot be used by them to assist victims will be passed on to Caritas Australia.
